Cocktail O'Clock: Green Tea Spritzer - Everyday Food Blog ...

Ok, we'll admit it: we're not?always?beacons of health here at EDF (because we're too busy eating this and?this). But even though we like to indulge, we're also perpetually on the hunt for recipes that are naturally light and (relatively) good for us.

Enter: the Green Tea Spritzer. Possibly the most refreshing drink we've ever encountered, this fizzy blend gets its sweetness from just a drop of honey. Finished with a bit of festive Prosecco and a crisp slice of shaved cucumber, we imagine its what you might drink if you snuck some booze into a day spa (i.e. cool, crisp, and slightly exhilarating). Enjoy it this summer while relaxing in the shade. And if you feel reserving an extra cucumber slice or two to use as a makeshift eye mask -- go for it! -- we don't judge.

Get the recipe after the jump.

Mix together 1 teaspoon honey with I teaspoon hot water.? Add to an ice-filled glass with 1 ounce gin, 2 ounces unsweetened green tea, ? ounce lemon juice, and top with 2 ounces prosecco. Garnish with a cucumber slice, makes 1 drink.
