Final Stats
PALM CITY, Fla.--University of South Dakota head tennis coach Malcolm Gilreath and the Coyotes took to the clay on day two of their spring break trip to Florida. Florida Atlantic won Tuesday's dual 7-0, but South Dakota enjoyed the change of scenery.
"This was a fun experience that our team will always remember," said Gilreath. "It was great for our kids to play on clay. Florida Atlantic is a solid program and it was it was a good opportunity for us to compete with them."
The match of the day came on court five where the Owls' Taylor Briggs won a 10-5 superbreaker against the Coyotes' Veronika Makashov, who won the opening set. The final score read 5-7, 6-4, 10-5.
